Raquel Grande is a Law Clerk at Redwood Public Law providing advice and counsel to cities, counties, and special districts throughout the State.

A University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco graduate, Raquel served as a Student Attorney in the Social Enterprise & Economic Empowerment Clinic, providing outside counsel to social enterprises and justice nonprofits, with an emphasis on contract drafting and counseling. Raquel earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for her distinguished representation.  While in law school Raquel also worked as a Summer Associate at Meyers Nave, where she contributed to the public law and labor and employment practice groups with legal research and analysis, as well as workplace investigations.  Additionally, she severed as a legal extern to the University of California’s Office of the General Counsel, focusing on federal compliance, trusts and estates, and legislative analysis.

Raquel’s professional journey also includes experience as a legal advocate at Jenesse Center, Inc., where she supported survivors of intimate partner violence through humanitarian immigration relief and family law advocacy.  As a law student, Raquel was a Dean and Bar Association of San Francisco Scholar and served as a staff editor to the Constitutional Law Quarterly. Raquel was also a member of the Women of Color Collective and the Latinx Law Students Association.

Raquel holds a B.A. in Social Welfare with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, where she engaged in international studies in Mexico and Kenya, further enriching her perspective on global issues.
